Very cool! Do the Raak-Zun have an equivalent to the federals nuke?

Trust me, there are ENOUGH things for the Raak-Zun that explode. If we added ANOTHER thing, it'd just be rediculous.
These guys are a heavy pressure faction, capable of running the enemy down to a point where they just have nothing to fight back with. Then you call in the Demolition Machines.
One thing I love about the Raak-Zun, is that they have one of the most unique sets of base defenses that I've seen in a long time. They're very interesting, lol. (God knows what those guys were on at the time...)

"These guys are a heavy pressure faction" + "they have one of the most unique sets of base defenses" Isnt that too much xD

I said UNIQUE... not overpowered.
Every design has a weakness and heavy pressure normally has a fragile economy, that you can take down with focused attacks.

The third screenshot looks interesting. It seems to be a mobile air defense.

Whatever they are, these new sneak peeks of the Raak-Zun are cool! I actually think I'm warming up to this faction...
Btw, what is the building in the lower left corner of the last screen? Is that an arena of some sorts?

Maybe the barracks. This building is always visible if there is a Raak-zun base.

Lol, wanna bet the barracks ARE an arena? Seems like a Raak-Zun thing to me.

I know that I could end all these discussions, but why should I? You guys are so funny with your speculations.
Haha, they do look like crawling sandwiches, hehe.

You know what I think is one of the best tings in SunAge graphically? The fact that there is a notable, 'realistic' size difference between infantry, vehicles and buildings. It gives a much better scale to a game IMHO. Haven't seen that often in RTS I must say.

I totally agree!
Just check Tiberium Wars, a tank has the same size as a factory and the mothership where all the aliens live in is soo tiny...

That is true, though some units are as high as a building or unit. Like the screenie with the Zirkonium in it; the inf's on the left are as tall as the transports. (If they are transports :>)
But never seen such difference indeed.

ah, thats so good to hear.
I always hated this size misrelation in RTS so much, so we had to go for
these more realistic sizes. (even if nowadays i wouldn't care THAT much,
cawz its not at all relevant for the gameplay. Well, still that much, that i
would go the same way again and again probably )

I think there are only to ways what this sandwich could be:
It has a long roll / wheel at the front-side. Maybe it's an infantry slaughterer or a mechanical mole
As an infantry transporter it is to flat and I can't see any kind of weapon.

Interesting. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open this week.
And yeah, you guys are going a bit nuts wondering what everything is. OwnAge should let you all stew in agonized hypothezation while I calmy await the next feature.
Corg, thanks for making it realistic. A tank is nowhere near the size of a factory. There's an old Patton tank sitting near a building here in town, and it is quite large though it is a small tank. The difference is that the factory where they're made is stinkin' huge!

Those sandwiches are smoking. I dunno if they're damaged, or just toasted. Perhaps the vehicle factory they're made from looks like a George Forman Grill? Could they be called B.L.T.'s?
