News Article: Federation Week comes to an end.
ยป Federation Week comes to an end.
All things must come to an end, even this wonderful "week" which has enlightened many to the story, units and purpose of the Federation Army.
To finish this week in true Vertex4-style, being the crazy lot we are, I can now present the concluding article for Federation Week!
Check out the feature on Federal Buildings!
Complex Tower connected to nearby Transmitter.
Feel free to discuss Federal Buildings here!

Looking good with the buildings, no factories though. I'm guessing that a beamer is needed to build a module, but is one needed to upgrade it to other structures? Also, why are beamers abbreviated as B.M.R.'s? Simply "beamer" seems a short name, and I didn't notice any mention of how the acronym is derived?
Keep it up, these updates are excellent.

Looks mighty fancy!
It looks like you've got some obvious inspiration, with the Nukes .

Ha! The ironic thing is, that it was Roman's idea and he's never actually played StarCraft before! hahaha.
@Tater - I dunno... B.M.R. just looks cooler, I don't think it actually STANDS for anything.

In the screenshot that shows how the B.M.R is used as Mobile Power Transmitter, there is a large building next to the Complex Tower. The mouse tooltip says that it is a M.O.L.E. Station. This building is where the M.O.L.E. resource collector drops off it's resources (you can see it taking off/landing).
Am I right about this? Will the M.O.L.E. work in the same way as the Earth 2160 UCS Termites, e.g. going to the resource site, landing, extracting the resource, taking off, landing at the M.O.L.E Station, dropping off resources and going back again? Will you get the M.O.L.E for free when you build the Station, and can you make another one if the original one is destroyed?

Very interesting article.
Especially the temporary power relay seems to be very important during the game. Is it a federal-only ability or could other races also "build" mobile power relays.
Another interesting gameplay-aspect are the upgrade modules. I think (hope) it will prevent defence spamming and bunkering.
Btw, I like the very detailed 2D graphics

Cool article! Nice first glimpse of the Federal buildings. Definitely love the look of the faction, and the base defences look especially great (and aptly named).

is there a range for power distribution and is it marked in some way? I'd hate to build a building and then to find out my transmitter is out of range?

@Rubenes: 100 % right, all of it.
@delay: Its a special federals ability only.
@Phoenix: Yes, ofcourse you see the connection-range, when searching an appropriate building site on the map.

 Complex Tower Federals + Transmitters
I've got a question about the Federals' CT. The SA linking system is similar to the UT2k4 "Onslaught" system. I love the idea but my questions are:
- Can your main be repaired once damaged?
- Is there a limit of transmitters ?
Thanx alot in advance =)

Yes, the mainbase can be repaired.
No, there's no transmitter limit. The map is the limit

Yes there is, but it's insanely high, in my opinion of course.

You just HAD to call the nuke 'Shuddup', right?
But as there are no C&C style superweapons in SunAge, I reckon these nukes (and other factions ' equivalents) are quite powerful but not over the top? Kind of like the stuff in Earth2150 (LC weather control center, ED nuke silos, UCS plasma cannon)?

Ah but Corg, you should know that in RTS even a single soldier can make the game.
The Nuke is not a guarantee that you'll win, but... it's COOL.

hmm, thats right, but:
- instantly dead soldiers dont shoot.
- nukes explode, but still take some enemies with them.
sometimes you have accept sacrificing yourself. its all about the bigger image
(Soren, can you hear me ? haha)
